Bible verse Interpretation : Romans 6:6-14
Romans 6:6-14 ERV
We know that our old life was put to death on the cross with Christ. This happened so that our sinful selves would have no power over us. Then we would not be slaves to sin. Anyone who has died is made free from sin’s control. If we died with Christ, we know that we will also live with him. Christ was raised from death. And we know that he cannot die again. Death has no power over him now. Yes, when Christ died, he died to defeat the power of sin one time—enough for all time. He now has a new life, and his new life is with God. In the same way, you should see yourselves as being dead to the power of sin and alive for God through Christ Jesus. But don’t let sin control your life here on earth. You must not be ruled by the things your sinful self makes you want to do. Don’t offer the parts of your body to serve sin. Don’t use your bodies to do evil, but offer yourselves to God, as people who have died and now live. Offer the parts of your body to God to be used for doing good. Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God’s grace.
My interpretation
This is for everyone, especially those who are born again
It say that people who gave their life to Christ, their like putting the end of your sinful life and asking God to come into your life.That means our sinful selves (or acts) doesn't control us anymore, you're free from sin.Anyone who has given their life to Christ is free from sinful desires or wants.If we died with Chirst,we know that we will live with chirst in eternity. Jesus Chirst was risen from death and we know that he cannot have a second death.Death doesn't have power over him now.Yes when Christ died, he died to defeat the power of sin one time enough for all the time.He now has a new life and that new life is with God.In the same way, you should see that you're dead to the power of sin and alive for God through Jesus Christ. But don't let sin take over your life here on earth. You will not be controlled by the things your sinful self wants to do.Don't let your body and your mind serve sin.Don't use your body to do evil, but offer yourself to God as people are born again (gave their life to Christ).Offer the use of your part of your body to God and doing good with them. Sin will not be the boss of your life because you're no longer with sin.You're now live with God's grace.
Giving your life to Christ is a big comment to your lifestyle.It shows how we really want Godto be a part of their lifes and not only that but now you can be a teacher to others who haven't known about the bible or don't have the understanding.I know this because I too am born again. After that I had many blessings, I very thankful that God is in my life because without him I would have fell in temptation or even spiritual death.If you want to change your life, turn away from sin for good, or want to become born again, say this prayer to yourself.
Dear Jesus:
I want to have a relationship with you.
I know I can’t save myself, because I know I’m a sinner.
Thank you for dying on the cross on my behalf.
I believe you died for me,
and I accept your free gift of salvation.
Thank you, Jesus.
